For as long as I can remember I have always been fascinated by things that are handmade because they allow me to feel the essence of who the artist really is. Each one of my pieces is unique and was a voyage for me. My aim is to share a sense of peace and serenity through my pieces.

In the early 1990s, I began to create small decorative items such as cushions and sachets. A few years later, I decided to create wall hangings using a technique of piecing together textiles, an art form known as Fiber Art.

My first fiber art pieces were of landscapes and the simple life. These tended to re-create the ambiance of a country life or of a life of another time that might have been lost. These scenes do not represent any village, or any path, or any mountain in particular. They are meant to be a melting pot of all those that I may have come accross during my travels. These pieces represent for me a juxtaposition of all of my visual sensations.

The arrival of the new millenium coincided with my need to create abstract fiber art and magnetic art. Just as my landscapes reflect my visual experiences, my abstracts reflect my inner being, where all of the sensations that I have experienced while traveling the developing world intertwine with each other.
